About the original

Spyder was founded in Boulder, Colorado in 1978 by David Jacobs, originally producing alpine-racing sweaters and later expanding into full ski outerwear; the brand supplied the U.S., Canadian, and Austrian national ski teams. The Supreme/Spyder Technical Jacket is an insulated snow shell built by Spyder with a printed lightning-bolt graphic across the hood and screen-printed spider webs on the upper utility pockets, a Spyder logo at the left chest, and Supreme wordmark tape at the hem. The shell is water-resistant polyester with a two-way center zip, snap storm placket, zippered chest and hand pockets, and articulated sleeves with elastic cuffs. Released for Fall/Winter 2024 in black, grey, and white as a Supreme exclusive.

About Spyder

Spyder is an American ski apparel brand founded in 1978 by David Jacobs in Boulder, Colorado, started as a mail-order business out of his kitchen selling racing sweaters to ski-team customers. Jacobs, a former member of the Canadian National Ski Team, named the company after the spider-leg-pattern racing pants his sons wore on the circuit, borrowing the "y" spelling from the Ferrari Spyder. The brand outfitted the U.S. Ski Team from 1989 to 2022 and developed early full-body race speed suits used in World Cup competition. Authentic Brands Group acquired Spyder in 2018. Supreme has collaborated with Spyder on technical ski jackets, bib pants, and base layers.
