About Spyder
Spyder is an American ski apparel brand founded in 1978 by David Jacobs in Boulder, Colorado, started as a mail-order business out of his kitchen selling racing sweaters to ski-team customers. Jacobs, a former member of the Canadian National Ski Team, named the company after the spider-leg-pattern racing pants his sons wore on the circuit, borrowing the "y" spelling from the Ferrari Spyder. The brand outfitted the U.S. Ski Team from 1989 to 2022 and developed early full-body race speed suits used in World Cup competition. Authentic Brands Group acquired Spyder in 2018. Supreme has collaborated with Spyder on technical ski jackets, bib pants, and base layers.
