Supreme x UNDERCOVER S/S Flannel Shirt
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
About the original
The Supreme x UNDERCOVER S/S Flannel Shirt is an all-cotton short-sleeve plaid flannel with a single chest pocket, a printed graphic on the front combining the Arabic word for 'Peace' with a 'Builder' slogan, and 'ANTI WAR' printed across the back hem. UNDERCOVER was founded in Tokyo in 1990 by Jun Takahashi, whose early mantra 'We Make Noise, Not Clothes' set the tone for two decades of politically-loaded graphics and collage-driven collections shown on the Paris runway. Short-sleeve plaid shirting with slogan prints has recurred across UNDERCOVER's mainline since the early 2000s. The SS23 collaboration was released in grey plaid, red plaid, and black colorways and was produced exclusively for Supreme.
About UNDERCOVER
UNDERCOVER is a Japanese fashion label founded in 1990 by Jun Takahashi in Tokyo while he was still studying at Bunka Fashion College. Takahashi opened the Nowhere store in Ura-Harajuku in 1993 with BAPE founder Nigo, making the two labels central to the neighborhood's 1990s streetwear movement. UNDERCOVER showed at Tokyo Fashion Week starting in 1994 and moved to the Paris runway in 2002 at Rei Kawakubo's invitation. The brand draws on punk, horror, and dada-influenced graphics, and its motto "We make noise, not clothes" has appeared across collections since the late 1990s. Supreme has collaborated with UNDERCOVER on co-branded outerwear, T-shirts, and Public Enemy-themed capsules.
