About the original
The Vans Sk8-Mid is the mid-cut member of the Sk8 family, sitting between the low-top and the high-top Sk8-Hi with a padded collar that stops at the ankle bone, over the vulcanized waffle outsole Vans has built in Anaheim, California since 1966. Supreme's Spring/Summer 2018 version reworks the shoe in croc-embossed black suede with contrast corduroy side panels and gothic Supreme heel type, released in mustard, light brown, and other colorways. Vans has retired the standard adult Sk8-Mid; the Premium Sk8-Mid, in suede and canvas, is the current buyable version. Supreme priced it at $110 against $95 for the Premium Sk8-Mid.

The company filed for Chapter 11 in 1984 and was acquired by VF Corporation in 2004. Supreme has collaborated with Vans on Sk8-Hi, Era, and Half Cab models since 1996.
