The Vans Era was introduced in 1976 as the first shoe designed specifically for skateboarding, created with input from Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta and built on a vulcanized waffle sole with a padded collar. The Skate Era update retains the canvas and suede upper but adds DURACAP reinforcement and a PopCush insole, and retails for $65. The SS23 Supreme collab covers the canvas in an all-over US dollar-bill print, keeps the vulcanized construction, and released June 1, 2023 at $98 in green and black colorways.
