About the original

The Vans Chukka Pro is the skate-reinforced version of the Chukka, a low-cut silhouette Vans builds on the vulcanized waffle sole it has made in Anaheim, California since 1966, with a Duracap rubber underlay and UltraCush sockliner added for skating. This Spring/Summer 2019 shoe is one of 17 pieces in Supreme's collaboration with French couturier Jean Paul Gaultier, whose house opened in 1976, and carries the rose-and-flower print Gaultier ran through his early-1990s collections. Supreme printed the floral across a burgundy upper with black foxing and laces; Vans now sells the base shoe as the Skate Chukka Low. Supreme priced it at $118 against $75 for the standard shoe today.
