Supreme version

About the original
The Vans Era Pro is the skate-reinforced version of the Era, the low-top Vans introduced in 1976 with input from Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta. The Pro adds a Duracap rubber underlay and a UltraCush sockliner to the twill-and-suede upper over the vulcanized waffle sole Vans has made in California since 1966. This SS19 shoe is one of 17 pieces in a Supreme collaboration with French couturier Jean Paul Gaultier, whose house opened in 1976, and carries the rose-and-flower print Gaultier ran through his early-1990s collections. The Supreme version prints that floral across the upper in burgundy, peach, and black; Vans now sells the base shoe as the Skate Era. Supreme priced it at $108 against $75 for the standard Era Pro.

The company filed for Chapter 11 in 1984 and was acquired by VF Corporation in 2004. Supreme has collaborated with Vans on Sk8-Hi, Era, and Half Cab models since 1996.
