About the original

The Vans Classic Slip-On, introduced in 1977 as Style #98, uses a canvas or suede upper bonded to a vulcanized rubber waffle outsole with no lacing system. Vans was founded in 1966 in Anaheim, California by Paul and Jim Van Doren as the Van Doren Rubber Company, manufacturing shoes on-site for direct sale. The SS18 Supreme collab applies an all-over Skull Pile print, a Liquid Blue skull graphic that glows in the dark, across the canvas upper, with a vinyl lining, leather insole, and custom co-branded heel label. It retailed for $98 and released March 1, 2018, in Green and Blue colorways.

About Vans

Vans is an American footwear company founded on March 16, 1966, by Paul Van Doren, his brother James, Gordon Lee, and Serge D'Elia in Anaheim, California, originally trading as the Van Doren Rubber Company. The company filed for Chapter 11 in 1984 and was acquired by VF Corporation in 2004. Supreme has collaborated with Vans on Sk8-Hi, Era, and Half Cab models since 1996.
