Supreme x Zoni Glitter Bowl
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
Original — Zoni
Glitter Bowl (Supreme-exclusive)
About the original
A zoni bowl is the traditional Japanese lacquerware vessel used to serve ozoni, the mochi soup eaten on New Year's Day to mark the first meal of the year. The Supreme version is a 5-inch resin bowl made in Japan with a glitter-embedded finish and a printed Supreme logo on the interior, released in red and silver colorways for Fall/Winter 2023. Zoni bowls are typically handmade by regional lacquerware workshops in Wajima, Aizu, or Yamanaka — three of Japan's traditional lacquerware centers, each with documented craft histories going back to the Edo period — rather than produced by a single branded manufacturer, and Supreme has not disclosed which workshop produced this run.
About Zoni
Zoni is a Japanese tableware product line named for ozoni, the New Year's mochi soup traditionally served in lacquered bowls. The Supreme/Zoni Glitter Bowl, released for FW23, is a five-inch synthetic-resin lacquerware bowl made in Japan in the format of a traditional zoni-wan, a lidded soup vessel descended from Wajima-nuri and other regional lacquer traditions dating to the Edo period. The bowl was produced in red and black glitter colorways with a printed Supreme logo on the lid. Synthetic resin substitutes for hand-applied urushi lacquer at a fraction of the production time. Supreme collaborated with Zoni on the Glitter Bowl.
