MAX-700 Digital Pocket Scale
About the original
The American Weigh Scales MAX-700 is a compact digital pocket scale with a 700-gram capacity and 0.1-gram resolution, measuring about 4.5 by 3 by 1 inches. A hinged stainless steel lid flips open to expose the weighing platform and closes flat to protect it in a pocket. The backlit LCD shows readings in grams, ounces, troy ounces, and pennyweights at the press of a mode button, and the scale runs on two AAA batteries. American Weigh Scales, based in Cumming, Georgia, has supplied precision scales to jewelers, labs, and kitchen users since 1987, and sells the MAX-700 directly for around $20.
