About the original

Comme des Garçons SHIRT is the menswear diffusion line of Rei Kawakubo's Comme des Garçons, the Tokyo label founded in 1969 and shown in Paris since 1981. The SHIRT line launched in 1988 and has been produced in France ever since, focusing on shirting, suiting, and outerwear at a more accessible price point than the runway collection. The Supreme FW18 collaboration was a knee-length wool overcoat with notched lapels, a single-breasted button front, and a printed graphic on the back, cut in CDG SHIRT's standard French construction. Sold exclusively through the Supreme and CDG x Supreme drop on November 15, 2018; no direct retail equivalent exists outside CDG SHIRT's general outerwear at Dover Street Market.

About COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT

COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT is a menswear line of the Japanese label COMME des GARÇONS, which was founded in Tokyo in 1969 by designer Rei Kawakubo. The SHIRT line launched in 1988 and is produced in France, focused on reinterpreting traditional men's shirting through unconventional cuts, patchwork construction, and contrast fabrics. It is distributed under the Comme des Garçons Trading Museum. Supreme and COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT have released co-branded collections every year since 2012, typically covering shirts, trousers, and outerwear, making it one of Supreme's longest-running collaborative partnerships.
