Supreme x Cini&Nils Cuboluce Table Lamp
Supreme vs. Original

Original — Cini&Nils
Cuboluce Classic Table Lamp
About the original
The Cini&Nils Cuboluce is a 10 by 10 by 11 cm technopolymer cube table lamp designed by Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi in 1972 for Cini&Nils, the Milan-based lighting manufacturer founded in 1969. Lifting the hinged lid switches the lamp on and reflects the bulb's beam; closing it switches it off. The Cuboluce is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The SS21 Supreme collab uses the same Italian-made cube body in red technopolymer with an oversized white Supreme logo wrapping three faces. Released May 6, 2021 at $238.
About Cini&Nils
Cini&Nils is an Italian lighting manufacturer founded in 1969 in Milan by designers Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi. The company's early catalog included tabletop objects, ashtrays, and bar accessories now held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Cini&Nils entered lighting in 1972 with the Cuboluce, a techno-polymer cube whose hinged lid acts as both switch and reflector when opened, designed as a bedside reading lamp. The product remains in continuous production and is one of the defining objects of Italian post-war design. Cini&Nils was acquired by Lombardo in October 2022. Supreme collaborated with Cini&Nils on a Cuboluce table lamp.
