Corsair-X Racing Helmet
About the original
The Arai Corsair-X is Arai's top-tier full-face race helmet, built around a hand-laid peripherally belted Complex Laminate Construction shell of Super Fiber and special synthetic fibers originally developed for Formula 1 visor panels, a multi-density EPS liner, and the VAS-V Max Vision shield system with a flatter brow line for smoother glance-off in an impact. Homologated to both DOT and Snell M2020 standards, a finished shell weighs about 3.55 pounds. Arai was founded in Tokyo in 1926 as a hatmaker by Hirotake Arai and has built motorcycle helmets by hand in Saitama, Japan since 1952. The SS24 Supreme collab is a three-way project with Ducati that retailed at $1,398 against roughly $940 for a stock Corsair-X.
