About the original
Alpha Industries was founded in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1959 by Samuel Gelber and began manufacturing the MA-1 flight jacket for the U.S. Air Force in 1963. The MA-1 pattern — water-resistant flight nylon, knit collar, reversible emergency-orange lining, and a sleeve utility pocket — replaced leather bombers for jet-age pilots and has been produced in roughly the same form ever since. The SS25 Supreme release is built by Alpha Industries to that pattern with a crushed rayon leopard-print reverse side, chenille "S" appliqué at chest and sleeve, and five enamel pins included at purchase. It marks the first GOODENOUGH x Supreme collaboration since 2007. Released June 5, 2025 at $398.
