Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
Original — Halama
Crystal Box (Supreme exclusive)
About the original
The Supreme x Halama Crystal Box was produced exclusively for Supreme's Fall/Winter 2021 collection. It is a lidded box in molded Czech art crystal featuring a reclining nude figure in relief on the lid, based on an Art Deco pattern originally designed by Frantisek Halama. Halama was founded by Frantisek Halama in 1932 in Zelezny Brod in the former Czechoslovakia and is now in its fourth generation of family ownership, producing hand-made crystal in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco tradition. The Supreme release was made in neon green, red, and clear colorways with a Halama maker's mark and Supreme etched on the lid.
About Halama
Halama Glass is a Czech crystal manufacturer founded in 1932 by František Halama in Železný Brod, Bohemia, when the 19-year-old Halama applied for a trade license to engrave and grind glass. Halama's clear and frosted Art Deco vessels won the Grand Prix at the 1937 Paris International Exposition and his geometric perfume bottles and vases are now held by the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague and traded at auction as collectible Bohemian glass. The company is still run by Halama descendants in Železný Brod, the Czech glass town that has produced cut and pressed glass since the 14th century. Supreme collaborated with Halama Glass on a hand-cut crystal bottle.
