About the original
Hamburger Eyes is a black-and-white street-photography magazine founded in San Francisco in 2001 by Ray Potes with his brother David Potes and Stefan Simikich, published in uncoated newsprint format and distributed through independent bookstores and direct mail. The title has produced more than 200 zines, books, and exhibitions over two decades and is widely credited as a reference point for contemporary American street photography. Standard issues retail for $8 to $15 through shophamburgereyes.com. The FW2019 Supreme edition is a 60-page softcover book of previously unpublished photographs of Supreme's skate team shot around San Francisco, produced to mark the opening of Supreme's SF flagship store and using the standard Hamburger Eyes format throughout.
