The Cave XL Inflatable Tent
About the original
The Heimplanet Cave XL is an inflatable three-person geodesic dome tent built around a five-chamber air frame with ten crossing points that pressurizes in under a minute with a single pump. Heimplanet, founded in Hamburg in 2003, replaced traditional tent poles with TPU bladders encased in tear-resistant 140-denier HPE Dacron; if one chamber fails, the remaining four hold the structure. The tent has 5.4 square meters of floor space, a 5000 mm water-column floor and 3000 mm flysheet, and packs into a 30-liter stuff sack. The Supreme version uses the same construction in a Supreme-branded colorway.
About Heimplanet
Heimplanet is a German outdoor brand founded in 2010 by Stefan Clauss and Stefan Schulze Dieckhoff in Hamburg, Germany. The company's defining product is The Cave, an inflatable geodesic dome tent built around the patented Inflatable Diamond Grid (IDG), a system of interconnected air beams that replaces traditional tent poles and pitches in roughly a minute. Heimplanet's range expanded into the Mavericks expedition tent, technical backpacks, and Monolith travel bags using Cordura and ripstop fabrics. The company is a 1% for the Planet member and has collaborated with Carhartt WIP, Ace Hotel, and Maharishi. Supreme collaborated with Heimplanet on a co-branded version of The Cave inflatable tent.
