About the original
IPA Industria Porcellane Aosta has produced professional porcelain for the Italian cafe industry since 1955, operating a single factory in Aosta in the northwest of Italy and supplying espresso ware to bars across Europe. The Aosta line is a 2.5 oz (75 ml) espresso cup paired with a 4.69-inch saucer, fired from scratch-resistant vitrified porcelain to the weight and wall thickness standard in Italian bar service, with the IPA logo printed on the underside. The SS22 Supreme set is the same Aosta cup and saucer in a two-cup, two-saucer presentation box, with the Supreme box logo printed on the side of each cup. Released April 7, 2022 at $48.
About IPA Porcellane
IPA Porcellane is an Italian porcelain manufacturer founded in 1955 by Egidio Sala in Usmate Velate, in the Monza Brianza province of Lombardy. The company began producing artistic porcelain statues before pivoting to industrial production for the HoReCa hospitality sector. IPA specializes in hard-porcelain cups for professional espresso bars and has supplied roasters across Italy and Europe for seven decades, now run by the third generation of the Sala family. All products are designed and manufactured in Italy from European raw materials, with custom decoration available for individual cafes and roasteries. Supreme collaborated with IPA Porcellane on a set of espresso cups and saucers.
