Essentials Fleece Pant
About the original
The Jordan Essentials Fleece Pant is Jordan Brand's core sweatpant, made from brushed French terry in an 81% cotton / 19% polyester blend with an elastic waistband, drawcord closure, hand pockets, ribbed cuffs, and an embroidered Jumpman at the left hip. It retails for around $60 at Jordan retailers including Foot Locker, DTLR, and Sneakersnstuff. Jordan Brand was established as a Nike subsidiary in 1997, sixteen years after the original Air Jordan I shipped, and the Essentials line is the brand's everyday lifestyle program separate from its on-court basketball offering. The Supreme version uses the same fleece construction with a co-branded Jumpman-and-Supreme crest embroidered on the front, released in black, ash grey, and green for Fall/Winter 2024.
About Jordan
Jordan Brand is an American footwear and apparel subsidiary of Nike, Inc. founded in 1984 around basketball player Michael Jordan, who signed with Nike as a rookie and debuted the Peter Moore-designed Air Jordan 1 that year. Nike spun Jordan off as its own division in 1997, with the Jumpman silhouette, taken from a 1984 LIFE magazine photograph, as its logo. The line has produced numbered models from the Air Jordan 1 through 39, plus the Retro program that reissues archival colorways. Jordan Brand generates over $7 billion in annual revenue. Supreme's Jordan collaborations have included the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 14.
