About the original

G.B. Kent & Sons is a London brushmaker founded in 1777 by William Kent, originally supplying grooming brushes to British Army officers. Kent has held a Royal Warrant under ten consecutive British monarchs beginning with George IV in 1820, making it one of the longest continuous Royal Warrant holders in any trade. The MG3 Military Hairbrush is a turned-beechwood oval brush drilled and hand-filled with pure white boar bristles, the same "military" silhouette Kent has produced since the Victorian era to distribute scalp oils through the length of the hair. The FW19 Supreme version is a standard MG3 with the Supreme wordmark engraved on the beechwood back; released October 31, 2019 at $98.

About Kent Brushes

Kent Brushes is an English brush manufacturer founded in 1777 by William Kent in London. Operating as G.B. Kent & Sons since 1890, the company produces hairbrushes, combs, shaving brushes, and clothes brushes from its factory in Apsley, Hertfordshire, where production has been based since 1901. Kent has held a Royal Warrant continuously since George IV granted the first one in 1820, supplying nine successive British monarchs. The Cosby family has owned the business since 1932. Hand-finished bristle brushes and hand-cut combs remain the core line. Supreme has collaborated with Kent Brushes on a co-branded hair comb.
