About the original
The Klean Kanteen Classic 27oz is a single-wall stainless steel water bottle made from 18/8 food-grade steel with an electropolished interior and a leak-proof loop cap. The bottle is BPA-free by virtue of containing no plastic in contact with liquid, and the threaded mouth accepts most standard caps and filter inserts. Klean Kanteen was founded in 2004 in Chico, California, by Robert Seals, and was among the first companies to bring stainless steel reusable bottles to a mass market as an alternative to polycarbonate plastic. The company became a certified B Corporation in 2012 and is family- and employee-owned. The Supreme SS2016 version is the standard Classic 27oz bottle with a screen-printed box logo on the body, sold in red, black, and silver.
