About the original

The Knaack JOBMASTER Chest (Model 4830) is a 16-gauge steel jobsite storage box with fully arc-welded seams, a WATCHMAN IV three-point locking system, and 16 cubic feet of interior capacity, weighing 178 pounds empty. Knaack was founded in 1953 in Crystal Lake, Illinois, by Herman Knaack and has manufactured steel jobsite storage in the US continuously since — the JOBMASTER line is an industry standard on commercial construction sites and is now produced by Werner Co. The SS2026 Supreme collab adds a custom paint application and a box logo on the lid; the underlying chest hardware, gauge, and lock system are identical to the retail 4830. Knaack retails the 4830 at around $800.

About Knaack

Knaack is an American jobsite storage manufacturer founded in 1960 by Howard Knaack, a midwestern milkman, with two friends in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The company invented the Job Box, a heavy-gauge steel chest designed to secure tools and materials on construction sites, and the Rolling Workbench that followed became standard equipment in trades across North America. Knaack's product line includes gang boxes, chests, piano boxes, and storage cabinets, all built with reinforced steel and proprietary locking systems. The brand is now part of Werner Co. and remains specified on commercial jobsites. Supreme has collaborated with Knaack on branded jobsite storage chests.
