Original — Kuumba International
Paper Air Freshener
About the original
Kuumba International is a Tokyo incense and fragrance house founded in 1993 by Eiji Koyama, whose name is the Swahili word for "creation." The company produces hand-scented incense sticks, room sprays, fragrance papers, and candles using agarwood, sandalwood, bamboo, and other natural and synthetic aromatics blended in-house. A standard Kuumba paper air freshener is a single die-cut card pre-scented with one of the house fragrances, retailing for roughly $15 per piece at stockists like Better Gift Shop and Haven. The FW22 Supreme version is a four-pack of T-shirt-shaped fragrance papers measuring 4 by 3.6 inches, printed with the box logo and scented with a Kuumba blend made for the collaboration.
About Kuumba International
Kuumba International is a Japanese incense brand founded in 1993 by Eiji Koyama in Tokyo, originally operating as a barber shop with arcade games that also sold incense. The name comes from the Swahili word for creation. Kuumba produces hand-rolled stick incense using agarwood, sandalwood, bamboo cores, and rare essential oils sourced internationally, with house scents like Light Blue, Hangover, and Mood. The brand is sold primarily through streetwear and lifestyle retailers rather than traditional incense stores and has run collaborations with Carhartt WIP, Neighborhood, and Wacko Maria. Supreme collaborated with Kuumba International on box-logo incense sticks and ceramic burners.
