About the original
The LP Classic Series conga is a 30-inch tall drum built from select, kiln-dried Siam Oak with a three-ply shell, hand-selected natural rawhide head, Comfort Curve II rims, and reinforced heart side plates with 5/16-inch diameter tuning lugs. Latin Percussion introduced the first commercially available wood congas in the 1960s, and the Classic Series remains the standard by which professional congas are measured.
