The Lucano step stool is designed by Metaphys for Hasegawa Kogyo Co., Japan's leading ladder manufacturer, founded in 1956 in Niigata. The stool is constructed from lightweight aluminum alloy with an anodized finish, folds flat for storage, and is rated to 330 lbs. Its minimal silhouette won the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award, and a JIDA Design Museum selection, and the design is offered in two-step and three-step versions across multiple colorways.
