Supreme x Lucano Step Stool
Supreme vs. Original

About the original
The Lucano step stool is designed by Metaphys for Hasegawa Kogyo Co., Japan's leading ladder manufacturer, founded in 1956 in Niigata. The stool is constructed from lightweight aluminum alloy with an anodized finish, folds flat for storage, and is rated to 330 lbs. Its minimal silhouette won the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award, and a JIDA Design Museum selection, and the design is offered in two-step and three-step versions across multiple colorways. The Supreme FW2018 version is a two-step unit with the box logo printed down the side rail in white and retailed for $288; the underlying ladder is the same Hasegawa hardware sold direct.
About Hasegawa Kogyo
Hasegawa Kogyo is a Japanese ladder manufacturer founded in 1956 in Osaka, Japan, and is the country's largest producer of aluminum ladders. The company introduced its tripod orchard ladder in 1968, a three-legged design used by Japanese farmers in uneven groves that has since been adopted worldwide by landscapers, retailers, and visual merchandisers. Hasegawa expanded internationally beginning with a Chinese factory in 2001, and now operates plants in Vietnam and sales offices in roughly 30 countries. Its lightweight aluminum tripod ladders are a standard fixture in Apple, Aesop, and other minimalist retail interiors. Supreme collaborated with Hasegawa Kogyo on an aluminum tripod ladder in box-logo red.
