Original — Mechanix Wear
FastFit Work Gloves (MFF-05)
About the original
The Mechanix Wear FastFit (MFF-05) is a synthetic-leather work glove built for mechanics, with a Clarino palm that repels oil and water, a TrekDry stretch back panel for breathability, a thermoplastic rubber hook-and-loop wrist closure, and an elastic cuff that pulls on one-handed. Mechanix Wear was founded in 1991 by Bob Anderson in Valencia, California, originally to supply pit crews in NASCAR and IndyCar; the FastFit became the brand's volume seller and is now standard issue across U.S. military branches, federal law enforcement, and industrial trades. The Supreme FW25 version uses the base FastFit glove with team logos from selected MLB franchises printed on the back panel.
About Mechanix Wear
Mechanix Wear is an American glove manufacturer founded in 1991 by Michael Hale in Valencia, California. The Original work glove debuted that same year on the Richard Childress Racing #3 GM Goodwrench pit crew at the Daytona 500, introducing a synthetic-leather palm and TPR closure for hot-engine work without the bulk of leather. The company expanded into military and tactical lines and became standard issue for U.S. service members during the Iraq and Afghanistan deployments. Mechanix acquired workwear maker Kinco in 2025. Supreme has collaborated with Mechanix on the Original work glove, a leather work glove, and IRAK and Aphex Twin co-branded versions.
