About the original

The Numark PT01 Scratch is a fully portable battery- or AC-powered turntable with a built-in speaker, a user-replaceable scratch switch mounted beside the tonearm, 33/45/78 RPM support, RCA line outputs, and USB connectivity for digitizing vinyl. The scratch switch is the feature that separates the PT01 from every other portable turntable. It lets DJs practice scratch technique anywhere, which made the unit a cult tool in portablism culture. Numark has manufactured DJ equipment in Cumberland, Rhode Island since 1971 and is one of the two dominant brands in entry and mid-tier DJ gear. The SS2020 Supreme collab featured a red colorway with printed logos on the dust cover and interior, retailing at $168.

About Numark

Numark is an American DJ equipment manufacturer founded in 1971 by Harry and Robert Kotovsky and now headquartered in Cumberland, Rhode Island. The company began producing mixers and turntables for radio stations and disco DJs in the 1970s, and was acquired by former Stanton executive Jack O'Donnell in 1991. Numark introduced the first mixer with a built-in sampler, the DM1775, in the 1980s, the first dual-well CD player, the CD-5020, in 1990, and one of the first DJ software controllers, the DMC-1. The company now operates under inMusic Brands. Supreme's collaboration with Numark pairs the box logo with consumer DJ hardware.
