About the original

The Pillsbury Doughboy Cookie Jar is a glazed ceramic jar molded in the likeness of Poppin' Fresh, the Pillsbury Company mascot who debuted in a 1965 Crescent Rolls television commercial created by the Leo Burnett agency and has since appeared in more than 600 ads across six decades. Standard Doughboy cookie jars produced over the years have sold for roughly $20 on the collectibles market. The FW22 Supreme version is a licensed ceramic jar that holds the Doughboy in his chef's toque with a molded box logo patch pressed between his hands, retailing for $118, about a six-fold markup over a standard Pillsbury jar.

About Pillsbury

Pillsbury is an American food brand founded in 1869 by Charles Alfred Pillsbury and his uncle John S. Pillsbury as a flour mill in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company pioneered industrial flour milling along the Mississippi and became one of the largest producers in the United States. Its mascot, Poppin' Fresh (the Pillsbury Doughboy), debuted in a 1965 Leo Burnett television commercial and remains one of the most recognized advertising characters in American history. Pillsbury's product line spans refrigerated dough, frostings, and baking mixes, and the brand is now owned by General Mills. Supreme issued Pillsbury-branded apparel featuring the Doughboy.
