Camp Plus Self-Inflating Sleeping Mat
About the original
Sea to Summit was founded in 1983 in Perth, Australia by Tim Macartney-Snape and Roland Tyson and makes lightweight camping and backpacking gear. The Camp Plus Self-Inflating Mat uses open-cell foam inside a 75D polyester shell with a multi-function valve for inflation, deflation, and fine air-pressure adjustment; it measures roughly 72 by 20 inches, has an R-value of 4.3, and retails for about $99 at REI and Sea to Summit. The SS21 Supreme collab used the same self-inflating foam construction with a Supreme logo printed on top, released May 20, 2021 in four colorways at $168.
About Sea to Summit
Sea to Summit is an Australian outdoor equipment manufacturer founded in 1991 by mountaineer Tim Macartney-Snape and industrial designer Roland Tyson in Perth, Western Australia. The name comes from Macartney-Snape's 1990 solo expedition climbing the full 8,848-meter elevation of Mount Everest from the Bay of Bengal on foot. The company produces lightweight backpacking gear: silicone-treated dry bags, the Aeros pillow, eVent compression sacks, X-Series collapsible silicone cookware, and Spark and Ascent down sleeping bags. Sea to Summit is a certified B Corporation distributing in over 70 countries, with Five V Capital taking majority ownership in 2022. Supreme collaborated with Sea to Summit on dry sacks and packing cubes.
