About the original
The SIGG CYD is a 1-liter single-wall aluminum water bottle with a slim ergonomic profile, integrated silicone grip, leakproof screw cap, and BPA-free interior lining. Founded in 1908 by Ferdinand Sigg and Xavier Küng, SIGG has produced aluminum drinkware in Switzerland for over a century and moved production to its Frauenfeld factory in 1916, where the bottles are still manufactured today. SIGG's original Swiss Bottle entered the MoMA permanent collection in 1993. SIGG is a Swiss drinkware manufacturer founded in 1908 by Ferdinand Sigg and Xaver Kuenzli in Biel, later moving production to Frauenfeld.
