About the original

The SIGG CYD is a 1-liter single-wall aluminum water bottle with a slim ergonomic profile, integrated silicone grip, leakproof screw cap, and BPA-free interior lining. Founded in 1908 by Ferdinand Sigg and Xavier Küng, SIGG has produced aluminum drinkware in Switzerland for over a century and moved production to its Frauenfeld factory in 1916, where the bottles are still manufactured today. SIGG's original Swiss Bottle entered the MoMA permanent collection in 1993. The Supreme SS19 version applies the box logo to the body of the standard CYD bottle and retailed at $40 against the original's $30.

About SIGG

SIGG is a Swiss drinkware manufacturer founded in 1908 by Ferdinand Sigg and Xaver Kuenzli in Biel, later moving production to Frauenfeld. The company began producing household aluminum goods and shifted to water bottles in the 1960s. SIGG bottles are extruded from a single piece of aluminum, lined with a taste-neutral BPA-free coating, and have been included in the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art. The traditional bottle shape remains largely unchanged from its 1960s form. Supreme released co-branded SIGG Traveller bottles across multiple seasons with box-logo and graphic treatments.
