About the original

The SIGG Gemstone Food Jar is a 0.75-liter (25-ounce) double-wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel container rated to keep food hot for 14 hours and cold for 20, with a wide 85mm opening and a leakproof screw-top lid. SIGG was founded in 1908 in Biel, Switzerland by Ferdinand Sigg and Xavier Küng, and moved to its current Frauenfeld location in 1916. The company's aluminum water bottle, introduced in 1908 and refined in 1920, was added to the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art in 1993. The Gemstone line extended SIGG's insulated range into food storage. The Supreme FW21 collab retailed at $78 versus roughly $40 for the standard jar.

About SIGG

SIGG is a Swiss drinkware manufacturer founded in 1908 by Ferdinand Sigg and Xaver Kuenzli in Biel, later moving production to Frauenfeld. The company began producing household aluminum goods and shifted to water bottles in the 1960s. SIGG bottles are extruded from a single piece of aluminum, lined with a taste-neutral BPA-free coating, and have been included in the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art. The traditional bottle shape remains largely unchanged from its 1960s form. Supreme released co-branded SIGG Traveller bottles across multiple seasons with box-logo and graphic treatments.
