Supreme x SIGG Metal Box Plus
Supreme vs. Original

About the original
SIGG Switzerland AG was founded in 1908 in Frauenfeld by Ferdinand Sigg and Xaver Kueng, and has produced aluminum products in Swiss factories ever since; the Metal Box Plus uses the same impact-extrusion process the company developed for its single-piece aluminum water bottles. The small size is an 8.3-ounce aluminum lunch box with a polypropylene separator, a silicone-sealed lid, and dishwasher-safe construction; the body is formed from a single aluminum slug and powder-coated. SIGG bottles are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. The SS2018 Supreme version is the standard small Metal Box Plus in red with a debossed Supreme logo on the lid; released February 22, 2018 at $42.
About SIGG
SIGG is a Swiss drinkware manufacturer founded in 1908 by Ferdinand Sigg and Xaver Kuenzli in Biel, later moving production to Frauenfeld. The company began producing household aluminum goods and shifted to water bottles in the 1960s. SIGG bottles are extruded from a single piece of aluminum, lined with a taste-neutral BPA-free coating, and have been included in the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art. The traditional bottle shape remains largely unchanged from its 1960s form. Supreme released co-branded SIGG Traveller bottles across multiple seasons with box-logo and graphic treatments.
