About the original

The Singing Machine Company was founded in 1982 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is the largest dedicated karaoke manufacturer and distributor in North America. The SML385 is a top-loading CD+G karaoke deck that plays standard music CDs, CD+G lyric discs, and MP3s, with two microphone jacks for duets, RCA audio and video output for feeding lyrics to a television, echo and balance controls, and 54 built-in LED disco lights with a dimmer. The cabinet measures 13.1 by 8.7 by 8.5 inches and weighs 6.5 pounds. The SS23 Supreme version is a standard SML385 finished in red with a Supreme wordmark on the front housing and two wired microphones in the box; released May 11, 2023 at $298.

Singing Machine is an American consumer karaoke equipment maker founded in 1982 in California, focused on home karaoke systems after launching consumer-targeted units in 1988. It was the first company to bring home karaoke products to the United States. The company is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, trades on Nasdaq under the ticker MICS, and produces standalone karaoke machines, Bluetooth-enabled units, and CD+G systems sold through Walmart, Target, and Amazon. A 2001 licensing deal with MTV expanded the catalog into branded units. Singing Machine is the largest karaoke equipment brand in North America. Supreme has collaborated with Singing Machine on a co-branded karaoke unit.
