About the original
The Spalding Legacy TF1000 is a composite leather indoor game basketball with a wet-grip, moisture-wicking microfiber cover, nylon windings, and a rotationally balanced butyl bladder, approved by the NFHS for high school play. Spalding was founded in 1876 by pitcher Albert Goodwill Spalding and built the first purpose-made basketball in 1894 at James Naismith's request; the company supplied the NBA's official game ball from 1983 to 2021. Supreme's SS16 collab printed original butterfly artwork by professional skater and artist Mark Gonzales across a white Spalding composite leather indoor ball, with black channels and a Supreme wordmark in place of the usual branding. It retailed for $68.
