The Spalding Slam Jam is an over-the-door mini basketball hoop with an 18 by 10.5 inch polycarbonate backboard, a steel breakaway rim, a nylon net, and an included 5 inch rubber ball. Spalding was founded in 1876 in Chicago by former MLB pitcher A.G. Spalding and served as the official ball supplier of the NBA from 1983 through 2021, a 37-year run.
