Supreme x Technics SL-1200MK7 Turntable
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
About the original
The Technics SL-1200MK7 is the current production version of the direct-drive turntable that has been the DJ industry standard since 1972, built with a new coreless direct-drive motor that eliminates cogging, 4.5 kg-cm of starting torque, and a 0.025% W.R.M.S. wow-and-flutter rating. It plays 33, 45, and 78 RPM, reaches 33 1/3 from standstill in 0.7 seconds, and offers ±8% or ±16% pitch adjustment with a reset button. The tonearm is a static-balance S-shaped design with adjustable anti-skating. The FW2023 Supreme collab features a white-tinted base, inset metal badge, white Technics-logo slipmat, and hingeless dust cover, retailing at $1,498 against a $999 standard MSRP.
About Technics
Technics is a Japanese audio equipment brand launched by Panasonic (then Matsushita Electric) in 1965 in Osaka. The brand built its reputation on high-fidelity amplifiers, speakers, and turntables engineered for both home listening and professional use. Its SL-1200 direct-drive turntable, introduced in 1972, became the standard deck of club and hip-hop DJs worldwide and remained in continuous production with periodic revisions. Technics also produces headphones, earphones, and the SL-1500C and SL-G700 reference players. Supreme has collaborated with Technics on co-branded turntables and accessories tied to the SL-1200 lineage.
