PAL BT (Portable Audio Laboratory Bluetooth)
About the original
The Tivoli Audio PAL BT (Portable Audio Laboratory Bluetooth) is a portable radio and Bluetooth speaker with an analog FM/AM tuner, a single 2.5-inch full-range driver, roughly 16 hours of rechargeable battery life, and a weather-resistant rubberized enclosure with a top-mounted tuning knob. It carries a single handle for transport. Tivoli Audio was founded in 2000 in Cambridge, Massachusetts by Tom DeVesto and the audio engineer Henry Kloss, whose earlier companies KLH, Advent, and Cambridge SoundWorks helped define American hi-fi. Kloss designed the PAL before his death in 2002, and the final engineering was completed by Tivoli. The Supreme SS18 collab retailed at $348.
About Tivoli Audio
Tivoli Audio is an American audio company founded in 2000 in Boston by Tom DeVesto and Henry Kloss. Kloss had previously co-founded Acoustic Research, KLH, Advent, and Cambridge SoundWorks across five decades of hi-fi engineering. Tivoli's first product, the Model One, is a single-speaker analog AM/FM table radio designed by Kloss to pull weak FM stations in dense urban environments using a long-throw 3-inch driver and a hand-tuned variable-capacitor front end. Kloss died in 2002. The Model One remains in production with the same enclosure and circuit. Supreme has collaborated with Tivoli Audio on a co-branded Model One radio.
