Supreme x Vanson Leathers Bones Jacket
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version

About the original
The Vanson Leathers Bones Jacket is a flat-track motorcycle jacket in 1.4mm competition-weight cowhide with a full skeletal anatomy — ribcage, spine, arm bones — cut and appliqued in white leather across the body. Vanson Leathers was founded in 1974 in Boston by Mike van der Sleesen and James Goodson (Vanson is a portmanteau of their surnames) and has built motorcycle leathers in Fall River, Massachusetts since opening its production facility there in 1987, supplying AMA and flat-track racers for decades. The Bones pattern traces to Vanson's flat-track racing line and has been produced as a standard catalog item (model ACE) for years, hand-made in Fall River. The Supreme FW17 version is a Vanson-built Bones jacket with collarless neckline, gold-tone zippers, and co-branded Vanson/Supreme oval patches on the sleeves; the leather, construction, and bone inlay match Vanson's own production.
About Vanson Leathers
Vanson Leathers is an American motorcycle apparel manufacturer founded in 1974 by Mike van der Sleesen and Jamie Goodson in Boston, Massachusetts. The company's name is a portmanteau of the founders' surnames. Production moved to Fall River in 1987, where it still operates from the Laurel Lake Mill. Vanson made its reputation building racing leathers for Daytona 200 winner Dale Singleton in 1979, and has since outfitted riders including Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, and Nicky Hayden. Each jacket is cut and sewn by hand, with up to 126 steps per garment. Supreme has collaborated with Vanson on leather jackets and racing suits.
