Original — Vanson Leathers
Classic Vanson Zipper Hoody
About the original
Vanson Leathers was founded in 1974 by Mike van der Sleesen and James Goodson and has hand-cut motorcycle leathers in Fall River, Massachusetts since 1987. Vanson's non-leather line includes the Classic Vanson Zipper Hoody, a cotton-blend full-zip hooded sweatshirt with an oval Vanson patch at the chest, sold on vansonleathers.com for $69. The Supreme SS21 version uses the same silhouette — cotton fleece, full-zip closure, drawstring hood, kangaroo pouch pocket — with an allover white spider web print across the hood and back panel, a Supreme script wordmark with underline sweep on the chest, and Vanson oval and Supreme rectangle patches on both sleeves. Released in yellow, red, black, and white colorways at $158.
About Vanson Leathers
Vanson Leathers is an American motorcycle apparel manufacturer founded in 1974 by Mike van der Sleesen and Jamie Goodson in Boston, Massachusetts. The company's name is a portmanteau of the founders' surnames. Production moved to Fall River in 1987, where it still operates from the Laurel Lake Mill. Vanson made its reputation building racing leathers for Daytona 200 winner Dale Singleton in 1979, and has since outfitted riders including Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, and Nicky Hayden. Each jacket is cut and sewn by hand, with up to 126 steps per garment. Supreme has collaborated with Vanson on leather jackets and racing suits.
