Cordura Denim Jacket (Supreme collaboration)
About the original
The Supreme x Vanson Leathers Cordura Denim Jacket is a cafe-racer-cut motorcycle jacket in cotton denim reinforced with Cordura abrasion panels, released for Fall/Winter 2022 at $498 retail. Vanson Leathers was founded in 1974 by Mike van der Sleesen and Jamie Goodson in Boston, Massachusetts, and has cut and sewn every garment in Fall River since 1987, building race leathers for riders including Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, and Nicky Hayden. The jacket keeps Vansons signature scalloped shoulder yokes, mandarin collar, and side-entry zip chest pockets, executed in indigo denim with contrast saddle stitching. Vanson oval patches sit at chest and sleeves with a denim-applique Supreme wordmark at the front. This denim-plus-Cordura construction does not appear in Vansons standard catalog.
About Vanson Leathers
Vanson Leathers is an American motorcycle apparel manufacturer founded in 1974 by Mike van der Sleesen and Jamie Goodson in Boston, Massachusetts. The company's name is a portmanteau of the founders' surnames. Production moved to Fall River in 1987, where it still operates from the Laurel Lake Mill. Vanson made its reputation building racing leathers for Daytona 200 winner Dale Singleton in 1979, and has since outfitted riders including Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, and Nicky Hayden. Each jacket is cut and sewn by hand, with up to 126 steps per garment. Supreme has collaborated with Vanson on leather jackets and racing suits.
