Model B Cafe Racer Leather Jacket

About the original

The Vanson Leathers S/S Racing Jacket is a short-sleeve cafe-racer-style leather jacket built on Vanson's Model B pattern, constructed from premium competition-weight cowhide with a #10 brass front zipper, snap-down collar, zippered cuffs, and a zip-out liner. Vanson was founded in 1974 in Boston by Michael van der Sleesen and has supplied leather race suits to AMA, WERA, and MotoGP riders for half a century; the company still cuts and sews every jacket in Fall River, Massachusetts. The Supreme SS23 version shortens the sleeves to a racing-tee length, adds painted Supreme chest and back patches across multiple panel colorways (red/white, black/white, brown), and retailed at $698 against Vanson's roughly $1,100 stock Model B.

About Vanson Leathers

Vanson Leathers is an American motorcycle apparel manufacturer founded in 1974 by Mike van der Sleesen and Jamie Goodson in Boston, Massachusetts. The company's name is a portmanteau of the founders' surnames. Production moved to Fall River in 1987, where it still operates from the Laurel Lake Mill. Vanson made its reputation building racing leathers for Daytona 200 winner Dale Singleton in 1979, and has since outfitted riders including Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, and Nicky Hayden. Each jacket is cut and sewn by hand, with up to 126 steps per garment. Supreme has collaborated with Vanson on leather jackets and racing suits.
