About the original

The Vanson X-Ray Glove is a black leather motorcycle glove with white cowhide bones stitched anatomically across the back of the hand and fingers, built on the pattern Vanson has used for its Bones line since the 1970s. Vanson Leathers was founded in 1974 in Fall River, Massachusetts, and remains one of the few American manufacturers making competition-grade motorcycle leathers in-house. Construction is naked cowhide with a 3 3/4-inch integrated zippered gauntlet cuff and a one-piece hand panel that wraps the index-finger side without a seam. The white bones double as an ablative top layer for abrasion resistance. The Supreme FW17 version is the same Vanson-made glove, offered in black, red, and blue with a small Supreme tab at the cuff.

About Vanson Leathers

Vanson Leathers is an American motorcycle apparel manufacturer founded in 1974 by Mike van der Sleesen and Jamie Goodson in Boston, Massachusetts. The company's name is a portmanteau of the founders' surnames. Production moved to Fall River in 1987, where it still operates from the Laurel Lake Mill. Vanson made its reputation building racing leathers for Daytona 200 winner Dale Singleton in 1979, and has since outfitted riders including Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, and Nicky Hayden. Each jacket is cut and sewn by hand, with up to 126 steps per garment. Supreme has collaborated with Vanson on leather jackets and racing suits.
