The Supreme x Burberry Regular Jean is a 13 oz. enzyme-washed cotton denim five-pocket jean cut to Supreme's regular fit, released March 10, 2022 as part of the SS22 Burberry capsule at $198. It is woven in Burberry's Vintage Check pattern in beige with red and black overchecks — the same check Burberry introduced in 1967 as the lining of its gabardine trench coats — with the Equestrian Knight Design embroidered on the back right pocket. Burberry was founded by Thomas Burberry in Basingstoke, England in 1856 and currently sells jeans in indigo denim at us.burberry.com; no Vintage Check denim exists in Burberry's own line, making this jean a collab-only construction.
About Burberry
Burberry is a British fashion house founded in 1856 by 21-year-old Thomas Burberry in Basingstoke, Hampshire. In 1879 Burberry invented gabardine, a breathable, water-resistant fabric woven from waterproofed yarn and patented in 1888. The company supplied outerwear to polar explorers including Fridtjof Nansen and Ernest Shackleton, and developed the trench coat for British officers in World War I. The Burberry check, introduced as a coat lining in the 1920s, became one of the most recognized patterns in fashion. The label remains publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange. Supreme collaborated with Burberry on a full collection in 2022.
