Supreme x Kangol Bermuda 504 Hat
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
About the original
The Kangol Bermuda 504 is a flat cap in Kangols proprietary Bermuda knit, a textured acrylic-blend fabric that gives the hat its matte, terry-like surface. Kangol was founded in 1938 by Jakob Henryk Spreiregen in Cleator, Cumbria, and the 504 shape (named for its factory block number) was introduced in 1954, patented that September, and was designed by Paul Hansen, who added a stiffened peak and sweatband to a beret. The Bermuda construction became a hip-hop staple through LL Cool J and Samuel L. Jackson. The Supreme SS21 version is the standard 504 body and Bermuda fabric with a co-branded Supreme / Kangol kangaroo logo embroidered on the side. Same shape, same knit, same Kangol tag inside.
About Kangol
Kangol is a British headwear company founded in 1938 by Jacques Spreiregen in Cleator, Cumbria, with the first factory opened that year alongside his nephew Joseph Meisner. The name combines K from knitting, ANG from angora, and OL from wool. Kangol supplied berets to British armed forces during World War II and to the British Olympic team in 1948 before moving into bucket hats and the 504 flat cap, which became fixtures of 1980s hip-hop on LL Cool J, Run-DMC, and Slick Rick. Bollman Hat Company has owned the brand since 2001. Supreme has collaborated with Kangol on co-branded bucket hats and 504 caps.
