About the original

The Kangol Furgora Casual is a fur-finish bell-shaped bucket hat blending 45% angora, 35% modacrylic, and 20% nylon on a 100% nylon inner headband, soft and packable with a structured crown. Kangol was founded in 1938 by Jacques Spreiregen at Cleator, Cumbria, England, and its name combines K for knitting, ANG for angora, and OL for wool. The Casual shape rose out of hip-hop's early years on Grandmaster Flash, LL Cool J, and Slick Rick, and still retails around $80 from Kangol direct. The Supreme FW21 version uses the standard Furgora Casual with a Supreme script embroidered at the front brim alongside the existing Kangol kangaroo logo.

About Kangol

Kangol is a British headwear company founded in 1938 by Jacques Spreiregen in Cleator, Cumbria, with the first factory opened that year alongside his nephew Joseph Meisner. The name combines K from knitting, ANG from angora, and OL from wool. Kangol supplied berets to British armed forces during World War II and to the British Olympic team in 1948 before moving into bucket hats and the 504 flat cap, which became fixtures of 1980s hip-hop on LL Cool J, Run-DMC, and Slick Rick. Bollman Hat Company has owned the brand since 2001. Supreme has collaborated with Kangol on co-branded bucket hats and 504 caps.
