Supreme x Medicom Toy Kermit Kubrick Figure
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
Original — Medicom Toy
Kubrick Figure
About the original
The Medicom Kubrick is a 2.75-inch block-style collectible figure platform produced by Japanese toy company Medicom Toy, featuring licensed characters in a humanoid LEGO-minifigure-adjacent form distinct from Medicom's larger Be@rbrick line. The Kubrick platform launched in 2001 and has licensed hundreds of characters across film, music, and art. The SS2008 Supreme collab produced a Kermit the Frog Kubrick wearing a miniature printed box logo T-shirt, packaged in a branded blister pack. It retailed for approximately $16 USD (1,575 yen) when it dropped in April 2008 and has become one of the more collected early Supreme accessories, regularly trading on the secondary market well above original retail.
About Medicom Toy
Medicom Toy is a Japanese designer toy company founded in 1996 by Tatsuhiko Akashi in Ebisu, Tokyo. Akashi left a computer industry job to make vinyl figures, launching the LEGO-inspired Kubrick line before introducing the Be@rbrick on May 27, 2001, originally given to attendees of the World Character Convention in Tokyo. The bear form was chosen in part because the teddy bear was celebrating its 100th anniversary. Medicom produces Be@rbricks in standardized 100%, 400%, and 1000% sizes through collaborations with artists, brands, and film properties. Supreme has issued Be@rbricks with the company for multiple seasons.
