Supreme x Pyrex 2-Cup Measuring Cup
Supreme vs. Original

Original — Pyrex
2-Cup Glass Measuring Cup (6001075)
About the original
The Pyrex 2-Cup Glass Measuring Cup (model 6001075) is made from clear soda-lime glass with red-printed measurement markings calibrated in both cups and milliliters, a broad handle, and an angled pour spout. Corning introduced the Pyrex brand in 1915 for borosilicate laboratory and kitchen glassware; US-market Pyrex switched to tempered soda-lime in the 1990s and is now produced by Instant Brands at the original Charleroi, Pennsylvania plant. The 2-cup measuring cup has been a fixture of American home kitchens for decades and is dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe. The Supreme version adds a box logo to an otherwise standard $10 kitchen tool and retailed at $24 in FW2019.
About Pyrex
Pyrex is an American glassware brand introduced in 1915 by Corning Glass Works in Corning, New York. The material was originally developed as borosilicate laboratory glass, then adapted for kitchen use after Bessie Littleton, the wife of a Corning scientist, baked a cake in a sawed-off battery jar. Pyrex bakeware, mixing bowls, and measuring cups became standard in American kitchens, and the brand is now owned by Instant Brands. U.S.-market Pyrex switched to tempered soda-lime glass in the 1990s, while borosilicate remains in the European line. Supreme released co-branded Pyrex measuring cups and mixing bowls.
