Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version

Original — Toyo Steel
T-190 Mini Toolbox
About the original
The Toyo Steel T-190 is a palm-sized trunk-style steel toolbox pressed from a single seamless sheet of steel (the same weld-free construction used on the larger T-320 and Y-350 models) with a hinged lid, metal latch, and folding handle. The deep-drawn single-sheet process eliminates welded seams that would rust or split under load. Toyo Steel Kogyo was founded in Osaka in 1969 and still manufactures every toolbox in Japan. The T-190 is the smallest trunk model, sized for jewelry, small parts, craft supplies, or stationery. The SS25 Supreme version retailed at $38 in four colorways.
About Toyo Steel
Toyo Steel is a Japanese metal toolbox manufacturer founded in 1969 and based in Osaka, Japan. The company presses its toolboxes from single sheets of steel, eliminating seams along the body, and finishes them with powder coat in a rotating palette of colors. Its T-190 trunk-shape, Y-350 cantilever, and ST-350 stackable models are designed to nest and lock together. The boxes are sold through hardware dealers in Japan and stationery and design shops abroad, where they are commonly used for art supplies and desk storage. Supreme collaborated with Toyo Steel on co-branded trunk-shape toolboxes.
