About the original

Ziploc Sandwich Bags are recyclable polyethylene food-storage bags with the brand's double-zipper closure, sold here in a 30-count box at the standard 6.5-by-5.875-inch size. Ziploc was introduced in 1968 by Dow Chemical, which commercialized the plastic zipper patent filed by Steven Ausnit, and SC Johnson acquired the brand from Dow in 1998 and has manufactured it since — making Ziploc the dominant US household food-storage bag by shelf share. The SS2020 Supreme collab uses the same sandwich bags inside a co-branded box with the box logo on the dispenser. A grocery-store 30-count sells for around $4.

About Ziploc

Ziploc is an American resealable bag and food storage brand developed by the Dow Chemical Company in 1968 and marketed nationally beginning in 1973. The interlocking plastic slide fastener that made the bags possible was patented by Borge Madsen in 1951 and licensed to Dow through Minigrip in 1964. S.C. Johnson & Son acquired Ziploc as part of the DowBrands purchase in 1998 and now manufactures the bags, sandwich bags, freezer bags, and rigid storage containers from its headquarters in Racine, Wisconsin. The product is one of the most recognizable consumer packaging items in American kitchens. Supreme collaborated with Ziploc on co-branded sandwich and storage bags.
